Les éléments de l'image sont numérotés pour identification, dans le texte en bas de l'image. / Bataille de Montmorency, dite aussi de Beauport, 1759 On July 31, 1759, Brigadier-General Monckton's troops attacked the French under General Montcalm who were camped along the St. Lawrence below Beauport. Hervey Smyth was an aide de camp to General James Wolfe. The Canadian landscapes engraved by Smyth were also included in a collection of views published by John Bowles, which are known collectively as Scenographia Americana (1768).
