Adaptation anglaise du "Petit flambeau de la mer" (1ère édition au Havre en 1684), compilée en 1793 dans le cadre de la préparation d'une guerre contre la France révolutionnaire : William Faden copie ici une édition publiée en 1761 par Thomas Jefferys (voir exemplaire BnF/CPL : Ge FF 18737), en faisant regraver les cartes (cf. Shirley BL M. FAD-1a).
